Working through Covid-19 is a testing time for all companies. It presents many logistical difficulties, perhaps more so in the road transport sector as such an operation cannot be fully managed remotely.
We have provided facilities for all our operational colleagues to work from the safety of their own homes. However, given that our function cannot be fully performed remotely, we have formulated a rota to ensure a skeleton presence in the office with at least one person from each department in the office at any one time.
Our telephone system is VoIP, so in most cases those working from home will also be contactable as normal. To ‘speed’ up getting through to the right department, we suggest using the group dial number, and these are listed below. If you do have any difficulty contacting us by telephone, please do email as normal.
Our warehouse will be operating as near normal as possible, and again is working on a rota basis to provide maximum presence only when required. All necessary precautions are being taken to ensure the safety of our people and also that of visiting drivers, in line with government guidance.
All of our road freight services are still operating, although naturally not at ‘full steam’. There are delays as you will no doubt expect, but we will continue to serve you to the very best of our abilities throughout this difficult period whilst we keep working through Covid-19.
Some freight ship only restrictions have been put in place for driver-accompanied vehicles which is restrictive for the transport of some classes of dangerous goods.
The group dial numbers are as follows:
Accounts: 01706 248 005
Sales: 01706 248 006
Italian and Malta Exports: 01706 248 010
Italian Imports: 01706 248 009

The goal posts are moving on a daily, even hourly basis, so it is difficult to be able to keep updating our website on each and every move which each country and region makes. We are receiving constant updates from all of our commercial partners so please do maintain close contact with our operational team.
Thank you for your continued support and your understanding throughout these difficult times.
Our Italian partners, ITX open a new branch in Rome – Pomezia to be precise. Operative as of 1st July 2020, the new branch is connected to their Milan headquarters with a regular transport shuttle to ensure optimal connections to all road freight departures. For Ital Logistics and our customers, this presents the opportunity to […]
There is a poignancy about the timing of Vera Lynn’s passing: the songs she sang, of encouragement and hope, and above all, memories invoked. We are in difficult and unprecedented times. Her songs and messages of hope eighty years ago are acutely relevant today. Everybody knows her story, no introduction required, no matter ones age. […]
Despite the Covid-19 lockdown, and the anticipation of some bitter financial losses, we have been pleasantly surprised at how our team has been riding the storm and resilient in its face. I was recently interviewed by Stuart Todd on behalf of the Lloyds Loading List, the article can be read here. Expecting to see a […]
