Working through Covid-19 is a testing time for all companies. It presents many logistical difficulties, perhaps more so in the road transport sector as such an operation cannot be fully managed remotely.
We have provided facilities for all our operational colleagues to work from the safety of their own homes. However, given that our function cannot be fully performed remotely, we have formulated a rota to ensure a skeleton presence in the office with at least one person from each department in the office at any one time.
Our telephone system is VoIP, so in most cases those working from home will also be contactable as normal. To ‘speed’ up getting through to the right department, we suggest using the group dial number, and these are listed below. If you do have any difficulty contacting us by telephone, please do email as normal.
Our warehouse will be operating as near normal as possible, and again is working on a rota basis to provide maximum presence only when required. All necessary precautions are being taken to ensure the safety of our people and also that of visiting drivers, in line with government guidance.
All of our road freight services are still operating, although naturally not at ‘full steam’. There are delays as you will no doubt expect, but we will continue to serve you to the very best of our abilities throughout this difficult period whilst we keep working through Covid-19.
Some freight ship only restrictions have been put in place for driver-accompanied vehicles which is restrictive for the transport of some classes of dangerous goods.
