If last week’s stoppages weren’t enough, the CGT labour union has called for another 4 day strike at France’s major ports in protest to their Governments proposals for the reform of their state pension system.
The strike commences with immediate effect, so it is clear that whilst efforts will be made to avoid where possible the routing of trailers via French ports, congestion elsewhere will have an effect on transit times.
