Yet another coronavirus service update.
As each country’s efforts to contain and deal with the spread of coronavirus are stepped up, uncertainty and confusion seems to be the primary topics of conversation.
Some countries are restricting movement and even closing off their borders. This is primarily for the public.
The transport of goods by road is at present still flowing, although there are border delays due to local controls.
Our road freight services to and from all areas of Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, France and Malta are still running, and we will continue to run these until we are prevented from doing so by each respective country’s governing authority.
Preparations have been made already for some, and if necessary all, of our office personnel to work remotely as and when required to do so.
Controls are also in place to reduce direct interaction with drivers during this period to mitigate any risk to our colleagues and of course reciprocally to those drivers loading and unloading from our premises.
As with each news post, please keep in direct contact with our operations teams for further information. We will try to bring you further coronavirus service updates as and when we know more.
