10/05/2008   Romford office on the move

We are pleased to advise that we will relocate our Romford office over the weekend of the 10th May 2008 to new offices in Harold Wood, Essex, just under a mile from our existing location. Our warehousing facilities will remain at the existing address.

The new offices allow for continued growth and expansion, and it is thanks to all our clients and suppliers who have supported the branch office venture. as to why we are able to increase our capacity and look to further future development. New office details are: ITAL Logistics Limited, Suite G7, Bates Business Centre, Church Road, Harold Wood, Romford, Essex. RM3 0JA. The telephone number will remain the same, although we have a new fax number (effective from now) which is 0870 210 1260. The old one will remain in service for a few weeks after the move.

17/01/2008  BIFA award winners for the second time

On the 17th January at the British International Freight Association annual awards dinner, we were extremely delighted to take the winners trophy for our category of European Logistics. These awards are widely recognised as the most prestigious within the logistics and supply chain industry. It is with great pride that we receive this award, and it is a great tribute to the dedication and commitment of all colleagues.

BIFA summarised our submission – “Providing specialist forwarding to and from Italy, are Ital Logistics, known in particular for their high quality, reliable and personalised service. To measure client satisfaction levels, they periodically undertake customer surveys which have lead to the enhancement and refining of their existing processes and services. Ultimately, however, it is their culture of honesty and sincerity which earns their clients’ all-important trust”. And they continued – “The judging panel felt that Ital Logistics’ entry stood above the others in terms of demonstrating, throughout the organisation, their extreme commitment to customer service, which has gained and retained many of its customers. Its focus on service is exemplified by the periodic deployment of customer satisfaction surveys and the development of self-monitoring performance statistics”.

14/01/2008 Forthcoming exhibition

27/11/2007 ITX celebrate 10 years

Congratulations to our Italian partners, ITX Cargo, who celebrate their 10th Anniversary at the end of this year. With offices in Milan and Verona, they continue to provide us with an outstanding service

in Italy, whose impetus has aided our development in the Italian market, as well as assisting our venture into Greece and Spain. Founder Director, Roberto Tagliareni, also a Director of ITAL Logistics has issued the following statement.

18/10/2007 BIFA Awards 2007

We are delighted to announce that ITAL Logistics has been selected as one of the final four in this year's BIFA awards which will take place on 17th January 2008. The category is the same as we won back in 2002 when we scooped the European Logistics Award. Just to be selected to be in the final is gratifying enough. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our clients and suppliers for their loyal support, without whom, we would not have qualified for such a prestigious award.

01/09/2007 All risks Insurance

The Insurance Mediation Directive Exemption for Freight Forwarders has now come into force. This means that we are now able to offer All Risks Insurance to our commercial clients. The restriction is still in place for personal movements and for such movements you can still contact our suggested provider mentioned in our Insurance page; or alternative.

15/01/2007 Italian partners on the move

On the 15th January 2007 our Italian partners, ITX Cargo srl, will move their Head Office and warehouse to a new facility just 300 metres from the motorway access just by the Tangenziale which circumnavigates Milan. Still in the same area as before, less than 1km away from the old site, the new facility covers 21,000 sq ft with an outside area of 75,000 sq ft, boasting 12 loading bays, plus an internal gantry crane capable of lifting up to 10 tonnes.

This is indeed good news, as this increased capacity will facilitate the continued growth and expansion of the company benefiting all of their services, naturally including the UK. Trade between Italy and the UK has increased rapidly in recent years as the UK’s demand for ‘all things Italian’ grows, and more encouragingly the UK’s exports have also increased. We are confident that this will allow both ITX and ourselves to increase the number of departures and improve further the quality of the services which we jointly provide, reinforcing our place in the Italian Groupage market.

23/12/2006 - Relocation of Midlands depot

We will re-locate our warehouse operation in the Midlands from Rugby to Leicester from January 2nd 2007. The new location is better situated, less than 1 mile from the M1 at junction 21A, affording easy access to the M6 and M69 motorways to serve Birmingham and Central England. Additionally it has increased capacity with a 12,000 sq ft warehouse. Operational control remains with the Head Office in Manchester, so clients should see no difference except that we will have increased capacity and a better geographical location from which to serve Central England by.

17/10/06 - All Risks Insurance

Yesterday, the Economic Secretary to the Treasury announced that Freight Forwarders are to be removed from the scope of FSA insurance regulation. The change will be made through secondary legislation later this year (2006). Once this secondary legislation has been passed, Freight Forwarders will once again have the option to sell Marine Cargo Insurance to their customers, without having to be Authorised and Regulated by the FSA.

For the last 2 years freight forwarders have had to be regulated which is why many companies, ITAL Logistics included, elected not to offer this service to their clients. As soon as the legislation is passed we will post further information and hopefully be able to once again provide this service to our clients.

09/10/06 - New branch in Essex now open

The Romford branch is officially opened as from 9th October 2006. Whilst predominantly sales based, it is our intention as the month’s progress that much of our current Southern cargo will be passed over to the new branch for local control. Any such changes will be discussed with our existing Southern based clients as they start to happen always ensuring that there would be no disruption to service. Telephone: 0044 (0)1708 331816. Full contact details can be found opposite in the receiving depot link.

24/9/06 - New branch in Essex

We are pleased to announce the forthcoming opening of a new office in Romford, Essex during the beginning of October 2006. Whilst continuing our development in the South of England during the last year, we felt the need to provide our clients, both existing and new, with a more local contact in order that we may continue our guiding philosophy of providing a personalised service. Although we have capably managed the business from our head office in Manchester, the additional facility will further enhance our service levels providing us with a platform to increase our share of the market in the South.

Heading this office will be Daniel Bradshaw, who holds a wealth of experience in our markets having been in the industry for more than a decade. He shares our common goals in client satisfaction, and is the ideal person to front our new office. Full contact details will be posted to the website as soon as the new office becomes live.

16th-19th March 2006 - LA DOLCE VITA - review of the event

On 16th – 19th March 2006, ITAL Logistics and partners ITX Cargo attended the La Dolce Vita exhibition at the Grand Olympia Hall, London as both sponsors to part of the event, and also as exhibitors. We also managed, as appointed hauliers to the exhibition, much of the International transport for the event .

The exhibition was all about Italy boasting great food & wine, travel & properties, ceramics, clothing, jewellery, luggage, and even cars, courtesy of Alfa Romeo and Fiat. The event was visited by over 20,000 people, and from amongst those who attended we made many valuable contacts and met many genuinely nice people. Hopefully in due course these will convert into long term clients.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank those of our clients and suppliers who visited the show, offering their support to our inauguration into the field of exhibitions. Pictures of the event are available here.

16th-19th March 2006 - LA DOLCE VITA

La Dolce Vita is a unique festival that showcases the very best of all things Italian. The event, to be held at the Grand Hall, Olympia, London, on 16th – 19th March 2006, creates the ultimate Italian experience for those who wish to indulge in great Italian Food and Wine, and learn about Italian Property, Travel and Style. An example, to name but a few, of some of the companies who will be present are: Alfa Romeo, Alessi, Bertolli, Casa Italia International, Dolce Vita Villas, Ducati, Gaggia, Nardini Grappa, Peroni, Piaggio-Vespa, San Pellegrino, and Sapori D’Italia.

ITAL Logistics’ will be a sponsor for the Merano International Wine Festival which promises to be one of the major attractions of the La Dolce Vita show. 40 different producers from all over Italy will be showcasing their very special wines, which on its own is more than enough reason to join us at the exhibition!

We are proud to have been selected as the sole Forwarder present at such a high profile prestigious event. Given our specialisation to the Italian market, this further enhances our reputation as one the leading operators by road to and from Italy and the UK.

04/11/2005

We are pleased to report than in our most recent client survey our marks have increased overall from 86.52%in our survey in 2003, to 90.51%, measured against a range of criteria; reliability, collections on time, deliveries on time, competitiveness, staff manners, eagerness to help, staff knowledge, response time to quotes & response time to queries. Every aspect increased in ranges of 1.74% to 7.07%. This result in indeed encouraging, especially in an industry where clients’ demands continue to increase. We would like to thank all those who participated in our survey, five of whom will shortly receive a complimentary case of wine.

25/04/2005

Whilst ITAL logistics have been involved with Alie SA since 2003 as distribution agents, the opportunity has arisen to take over from their previous Southern agents by utilising ITAL Logistics new Romford facility to manage a twice weekly service between Barcelona and Romford. This line will shortly be extended to encompass Manchester cargoes with the long term intention of independent dedicated lines twice weekly in each direction. For further information please telephone 0044 161 491 4911, or email email@ital-logistics.com

20/02/05

From 1st March, we will change our Southern receiving depot to A.N. Distribution limited in Romford. Being better placed than the previous depot, just off the M25, this opens up the opportunity to develop the existing services previously combined with Manchester and start independent lines, twice weekly from the South.

The first service which will benefit from this change will be the Italian service. Already we have many clients in the South of England which we are servicing well, but by operating independently of the Manchester line, this service will be improved and we will be able to provide a better service than before.

Additionally the new development in the South with Spain will utilise the Romford facility for trailers in conjunction with the Manchester traffic, but it is hoped that within the next couple of months this will become an additional independent line.

20/02/2005

From the start of 2005, we have commenced a new trailer Groupage service to and from Greece with our new partners Interdromon SA. The service at present is a minimum of twice weekly with departures on Thursday and Friday and a transit time of 96 hours depot to depot. We can carry ADR cargo on many of the vehicles and are looking to develop the service as soon as possible to also offer a Tuesday departure. For further details, rates and bookings, please do not hesitate to contact us at 0044 161 491 4911 or email@ital-logistics.com
